On Being In Love
God is Love. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him.-I Jn 4: 16b
When a person is in love, they are engaging with God on a different level.
Love has to be both one of the singularly most misunderstood states on the planet , yet the most universally and profoundly grasped concept of humankind.
This Love is agape (Gk- a-ga-pay)
Relationships are the ultimate place to give and receive love. But broken people cannot give or receive love easily. When God\'s love is shed abroad in the human heart, bringing healing, love can flourish freely and fearlessly."
Agape is the daddy of all loves and at different times is given expression in all the other delightful forms we have come to think of as 'love' (and many we have not!). But the premium, set apart quality of Agape is that it "seeks nothing in return". This kind of love , in whichever form it is expressed longs only to be expressed. It lives only to be surrendered and even so, loses nothing of itself in the doing so. It preserves all parties intact whilst simultaneously having the ability to make whole those that are broken. Where it is received, rocks sing-believe it!
This kind of Love is too good to be true!
But it is true!
The Love of God is the creative force of the universe. It sustains all things and is the energy that IS all things, including the space between all things.
The wisest thing I ever did was believe that God was in love with me. It turned my world upside down and inside out and connected me with a Presence that I could literally feel delighting in my company.
"Listen, o daughter, consider and give ear.
Forget your people and your father's house.
The king is enthralled with your beauty
Honour him, for he is your Lord" Ps 45:10-11
The king is enthralled by my beauty...wow!
The first verses that came alive to me from my Bible, were all like this, telling me of how intoxicatingly in love with me God is. Not with a love like anything I'd known (Ez 16:1-14). Not to use me or abuse me or exploit me or jealously possess me but to adore me, uplift me, adorn me, honour me. As I gazed upon His beauty, drawn in by his love, he showed me a truer reflection of myself and I fell in love again( 2 Cor 3:18. I love the "love version of Lisa". I choose to live there! That's what I call "Agapeism" now. It takes a bit of practise, but the more I see how God loves me and believe it, the more those same beautiful qualities flow from deep within me, where God and I play together in the garden (SS 4:15-5:1).
About 25 years ago, as I rode a train through Sydney's inner west, I was quietly conversing with God. At one point I asked for reassurance saying "If I could just know that you love me..." ( As in feel it as real) At that moment, I looked up and out the window. We were passing flat concrete blank walls of old terraces backing up to the railway line. Blank , that is, but for the graffiti. And there before me, sliding by on a wall, these words:
"I Love you, Lisa"
I was flooded with the experience of KNOWING God's love for me again, just as I was the first time I read Ps 45:10-11 and felt the inner witness of it being spoken right then to me. I can choose to relive the reality of this love in my emotions as often as I please. And I do. And so, more 'love notes' come in a variety of expressions. God loves me! I'm a being in the state of love and a love-being, a god-being and have my being in God. And I'm enveloped in love, one with God in this love state of being.
I believe God has given me the gift of being able to help others experience this truth in a deep, life changing, soul healing and undeniable way and I intend to do just that. So, to "whosoever will" out there who wants to know God's love for them this way...hang around. I guarantee, if this is your desire and if you hunger for it, you will be filled.

Studies in Conscious Creation Vol II
Studies In Conscious Creation Vol II- Motivation
**Disclaimer** In sharing elements of my story, I, in no way, desire to malign anyone in my family-or others. I see myself as the creator of my own experience, including the one I was born into. I judge no one, resent none, but sincerely love and appreciate all. Everyone is on their own journey. I also believe how I ‘saw/see’ my life experience is my own perspective and as such, subject to my own interpretation of the facts, and not a reflection on those who were part of my world .
Well, as the title suggests, I want to give some thought to those things that motivate us to move forward on our dreams and desires. On the flipside of that, I also want to look at what we hide behind and make our scapegoat for NOT moving ahead on them. And finally, explore the validating motivations we can fabricate to allow ourselves to be happy in the pursuit of our pleasures.
Of course, in this small space, I’ll only be opening the tins, rather than dragging all the worms out. I imagine they will wriggle out of their own accord...and once they do, there’s no putting that lid back on! LOL
I am going to use myself as my example-as I usually do. That’s because I really only know about me and whilst I am certain that I’m not the only one responds to things the way I do, I can only speak for myself. What follows are some of my conclusions regarding my own “methods of operation”.
Who Am I To Be Happy?
Without going into any longwinded details (just for a change! lol ), I will point out that my childhood circumstances were ideal for demonstrating contrast, so I would by default catapult desires for better. It is an automatic thing to want health in sickness. I wanted peace in the storm. I wanted an oasis in the chaos. I was only very young, when the change to my circumstances came.
My life and disposition were such that certain erroneous beliefs had been given great leave to seed and grow even by then. Thinking that I was the centre of anybody’s universe but mine was one of them. This was the way the stage was set when the opportunity to have my desire to be out of the environment came.
Here’s the thing: we get what we focus on. I got what I wanted, even tho it cost me dearly-the event ultimately splintering the family into chards. I loved my family more than anything, I thought-but obviously not more than myself. I had to be out of that place. It is this love for Self that has always come to my rescue. I guess you could say, from even way back then, as a very little girl, I saw that the only person I could save, was me.
I also saw that I was the only one who would.
So...in this instance, self preservation was the motive to have the something better I could see in my dreams. It was my motivation, and it made my dream my reality.
BUT here’s the thing. There were some in my immediate family who DIDN’T want to be out of that situation. I can only assume their fear and focus delivered a reality for them as well, and it played out in tumultuous ways for my brother. He blamed me, and said things that implied I had betrayed other family members. Not many years later, that brother killed himself. We were on good terms by then, by he’d had enough, and his words sowed a seed that took deep root, that for me having what I want would bring heart break to others that I loved.
Guilt for being happy accompanied me in the form of deep depression for many years, and a desperate loneliness that led me all sorts of places. I had no right to be happy when all my family were SO miserable. And they were!
Who am I to be happy when others suffer?
But once again, I left the environment that made it hard for me to be happy, and went out on my own. I had about $80-something dollars (my big inheritance! Lol) and a bowl , spoon and fork from my grandmother and an enrolment in Art School! Can naivety and desperation be viewed as gutz? Yes. I’ll give myself that J
Jumping ahead, events led then, to me becoming a mum .
Now, I had a REAL reason for making better choices. My babies were my unspoken justification for everything, including bringing out the very best in me. I was always fascinated with inner workings, but struggled with old patterns of behaviour in some areas, until I had my babies. My strong memories of early life were the guide for me. I never wanted them to feel the ‘bad’ feelings I’d had, or know the traumas I’d felt, but I did want them to know the deep love and appreciation I’d felt even in the midst, and how precious family are.
Being the kind of person that could teach and impart all the best things is all I cared about. I lived it from the heart before them, and was alone with them until they were 5 ½ and 4 ½.
Scenario after scenario played out in my life that confirmed my belief-that I could only have what I wanted at the expense of others’ dreams. Eventually, I slid comfortably into the role of false piouity that many know...that one of sacrifice.
Find and Be the Scapegoat
So, now we jumped way down the track and I’m married with five babies.
I know, without a shadow of a doubt, I lacked the wherewithal to do something constructive my life in my late teens. I did a year of Art School, found it too lax, and enrolled in a Fine Arts degree-filling in time coz I really didn’t know what to do with myself. If I hadn’t had such a compelling to recreate a family unit, perhaps I would have made something from there. Instead, I gladly had babies.
I still say it some of the finest work I’ve ever done! You will too, when you meet them!
I think I wanted that solid family unit behind me and it gave me great stability. I’d moved into my dream environment but in doing so, the old idea of having a happy family or my personal dreams came into play again. It was either/or again. This time, I chose ‘sacrifice’, so that I could continue to give my family what they needed to be happy.
None of these motivations are cut and dried. They all interlace and intertwine. I isolate them for identification’s sake, but all were simultaneously present to varying degrees. This one, of feeling the need to complete my commitment to my children has really stayed active to this day. With the youngest one approaching 18, the compelling to pursue my individual life has grown progressively stronger. I still feel a measure of responsibility to ‘take care’ of them and supply a home-which I do, but not so much now, that I can’t accept certain types of opportunities-if not all.
Thing is, I felt it had to be this way. I wanted to be mum until they had grown. My mothering and lifestyle have changed over the past 8 years of being single again, but I’m still basically PRESENT and in the home. A direct spin off from my childhood.
And here is the beautiful part, in the almost 30 years I’ve spent being a mother, I have finally become the person who is ready to live their own personal dreams, and I know it doesn’t have to make anyone miserable.
Today, I know nobody owes me anything, let alone to save me. And by extension, I have found the liberating counter truth of knowing I can ‘save’ no one either. If I am aligned to my dream, I will get it and the people around me will get their own version of reality according to their focus.
This brings me to my last point:
The Place of Altruism.
So...one of the ways that I found my dreams gained access to the ‘acceptable’ genre, was to somehow see them as “good for all”. I still wasn’t enough reason to have something. The only way I could protect the people I loved was to ensure that my desires had elements that were good for them too. That became the defining criteria for a long time.
But as with everything, who we are must surface. And I have always been such a lover of growth and deep spiritual connection, so that growth must come-no matter what! At times, it has broken through in great dramatic, and what some considered uncharacteristic, leaps sideways. I’d find a way to level the extremes, bring the pendulum back to centre, but still get fix of expansion. This put pressure on people around me to grow as well. Something, not always well received.
Getting back to “altruism”. It can be used either way, to support or to avert your dreams. But both are exercises in Ostrich-ism (that disease of sticking one’s head in the sand). The truth is MY dreams are mine and your dreams are yours... for YOU. Each one of those people we love has their own and- dare I say it?-apart from us! Do you want them to modify or sacrifice what would make them most happy for you??
What healthy person would?
Nor are you expected to do it! No one is. Not you, not me, not the people you love and wish would never leave.
But here’s the real danger, and my strongest point for this blog: In attempting to make your dream acceptable on any terms other than the fact that it makes you happy, is to move it away from its purest form, and once adulterated, it cannot lead to the place of pure joy. Nor leave the most empowering legacy.
That’s not the end of it. It’s not all over. Life is a never ending process of refinement...as are you, and I, and our respective dreams.
What I’m Aiming For
I think my dreams have reached their purest form, and my heart the cleanest state, when I recognise that I do what I do PURELY for the love of it. I do what I do out of SHEER PLEASURE.
I need no other motivation, nor any other validation. It’s not my job to fix, change or save anyone. What relief that is! I live simply to follow the compelling of my own heart to do that which I love. I don’t need any other reason. It doesn’t have to be marketable. My job in life is to find ever increasing degrees of freedom for these endeavours.
The exceedingly lovely by-product of putting all this energy on myself, is freedom. Freedom for me, freedom for others and the sweetest, purest legacy I could ever hope to leave with the planet-
The legacy of demonstrating the power of living one’s dreams.
This is the only life I’ve wanted to live and the only legacy I ever wished to leave for anyone.

Everything's Connected
I wanted to share a little story with you.
A number of years ago, when I first moved into this house, I was exploring intentional use of the Law of Attraction. I feel like I've always been doing this, but this particular outcome was something that has stayed with me, as an eternal reminder of how we 'draw' our reality into being.
Firstly, my place, is three storeys high, with a big double garage and lots of cupboard space, but no yard. It's a terrace house. It was only 2 years old when I moved in, so it's modern, airy and...nice. It has two balconies. a squarish one out front ( where i often sit in the sun) maybe 8'x8'
The back one is double the length, but as I said, no back yard. So...no clothesline facility anywhere.
ROTARY ACTION
Well, Australian backyards usually boasted a HILLS hoist, rotary clothesline, as we grew up. And I had a great one when all the kids were little, lots of cloth nappies and clothes to wash. Those kind of clothesline actually had a nostaligc value for me, and hanging washing ( and folding it back into the basket when dry) almost became theraputic coz I associated it with quiet thinking time.
So, I wanted a rotary, PORTABLE line. I didn;t even know if such a thing existed. I just knew that was what I wanted.
All I did, was think about it. Not even an intentional thing.
30, 60, 100 fold...
First the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear...
Sure enough, some store advertising "junk Mail" came and there was my rotary line! It was about $30, but it was at a store somewhere that I didn't normally go...off the usual track. I never got to it, but I didn't stop thinking about it, coz now I KNEW they existed!!
Not long after that, in another pamphlet, there was my desire again. This time it was dearer, and still in a part of the Coast that i didn't get to. There was delivery, but all up it'd cost $50. Not that I minded the idea of paying that much, but by this time, I started to realise that I might be able to have what I want.
Of course, yet another sale flyer, and there SHE is-Rosie...not 2 mins away...and only $25!!
She was Rosie the rotary clothesline from that moment, and I loved Rosie becasue of all she meant to me..the old associations and now, all these new ones!
A LITTLE SPINNY
So, now, I can understand why people think i'm a little 'out there', but I name a lot of my belongings and plants. in doing this, I build a snese of 'relationship' with these elements of my life and it leads to some very positive and powerful 'connections' for me.
Firstly, it constantly reminds me that animate or inanimate or inbetween, we are ALL connected. All things are LIVING in that all things are energy. All things are moving, vibrating and being. It's much easier to 'feel' this about everything, and every space between, when you give them names. Along with name comes nature and characteristics...it's just all part of 'knowing' and recognising.
I love doing this with my things/plants/furniture/shoes...shrug...I've been doing it a while! Personifying everything-wind, trees, piano...as well as the obvious...pets, nicknames of friends/family.
This 'naming' breeds attachment and appreciation-and i feel the CONNECTION It's a GOOD thing for me.
AND FROM THAT IS THE SECOND THING
As we are ALL one energy field...
I don't think it's possible to feel inadequate, or in enmity with any part of existence, AND know this state of connectedness at the same time.
I KNOW WHICH STATE I PREFER! And in making the above statement, I finally understand what has troubled me off and on the past week or so...an intermittent connection!
ROSIE TO THE RESCUE AGAIN!
But thinking about Rosie, the delightful way she came into my life, all the pleasure I felt from having her, and all the warmth of the memories she encapsulated for me, fixes any sense of disconnectedness.
It's really not hard to ALLOW myself to BE who I am... Replace resistence with gratitude in the smallest, simplest, and almost nonsensical places, and find yourself-right there! :-)
it feels sOOOO Good!!

On Being Beautiful and Powerfully Attractive

THE FIRST KEY TO BEAUTY AND ATTRACTIVENESS, IS BEING BEAUTY AND BECOMING positively ATTRACTIVE
beauty is an attitude that comes from being in love
Being positively attractive is the result.
We're always attracting, but are we intentionally attracting what we want?
From as far back as I recall, God has been my best friend. A conscious dialogue existed. As with all relationships, there's been times when I've 'tuned out', or tried to, only to find I had a natural state of being at home in this Presence, so I would always just 'wake up ' there-and laugh at myself.
This blog isn't about me. It's about what I have with found with God and knowing the creator within. It's about what you have available to you in, and with, God. The answer to all things is found in the Conscious Connected Awareness of you and God/Source Energy/the Universe. In the Secret Place.
Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in him/her Herein lies the Source of true and eternal beauty.
I"ve always told my girls (and boys) they were beautiful from the inside out.
Men can be beautiful too...
THE SECRET PLACE
The Secret Place is a state of BEING.
A place of intimate connection and conception.
It is a state of perpetual alignment.
It's a place where "shekina" glory radiates and permeates all-like being inside the sun.
It is living in the point of paradox where all dichotomies are harmonised. You die, but live. You love, but let go.
In this place of Being there is fullness-ALL THINGS ARE YOURS. There is no fear, therefore, you can easily begin to manifest all the being, doing, having, and giving you desire.
Some may consider the things in their realities and not see this state as possible. not only is it possible...it is your natural and most authentic state. ANd it is the solution to everything you see as a problem. At least, this is the Truth as I have found it.
When I lose yourself in the present reality that is NOW/God, and find myself-as god-in him , I realize I have and am all I need right NOW. No ifs, buts or maybes. What follows, is that all that aligns to generating this as a pyhsical reality begins to be brought forth, delivered from the Womb of Creation where it was conceived-the Secret Place
My whole existence here NOW becomes about preserving this state of Being, and living in Conscious Awareness of this love that is ALL. Every opportunity/obstacle/relationship is a chance to grow more deeply into my own fulness, and expand in my expression as love.
LABOUR TO ENTER REST
The only work I need to do...is rest. There's that point of paradox again!
Whatever it takes to get my focus back to the place of FEELING aligned and Being.
I am a human...BEING. Being is my life work.
This is why i have so many little mantras, and 'triggers'. They become a storehouse of energy for me.
Becasue I invest faith in them each time I say them...they are never diluted or emptied of power, but rather, further infused and compounded with greater energy and vitality. They become me...I become them.
Here are some of mine:
For direction: 'take only the ways that are firm'
'follow after peace'
For intimacy with God:
'like father, like daughter'
'all that i am is the dwelling place of God'
'i live in the Secret Place'
For dealing with circumstances:
'Its ALL good...all of it'...........and it really is
'All things are mine"
These little phrases encapsulate vast oceans of meaning for me now, so when i speak them to myself, or 'tap ' on them (EFT) I am 'pumped' the way a body builder is. And one of the great beauties is that there is no ego here, coz to find this place you must let it go.
(I refer to EGO here, as that part of me that is caught up in the externals of judgment and the thoughts of others. It's a 'self consciousness' that lives more in this 'time zone' and not in the ETERNAL NOW.
EGO, for me, always provides the resistence to my Authentic nature, and is FEAR/LACK driven, not LOVE compelled. It also, through its expression, reveals where I have yet to align myself to Love, and so, is a positive tool, when I utilize it this way. The Bible calls it the 'sin nature' or 'old man but I have no derogatory application in my reference-it's all good)
I have multitudes of such mantras, and have spoken them over my children all their days...and have taught them.
IN CONCLUSION FOR THIS PART:
FOR ME, BEAUTY IS WHERE EGO IS SILENCED AND I FIND MYSELF IN LOVE, IN THE SECRET PLACE, IN GOD and DIVINE
