Inseparable

Live Like You Mean It Pt 2!

Last week I wrote a little about this, inspired by my time in a Surf Museum. Below, are a couple of paragraphs I'd like to bring to your remembrance.
DO What YOU Love
Something about the raw passion of the people who had surfed those boards infiltrated my soul. The old boards murmured to me of days gone by-of laughter, sun, personal challenge, edgy lifestyles and travel...living the dream...I saw 'flashbacks' and felt the purity of passion based adrenalin rushes and the exhilaration of truly LIVING LIFE--for the sheer joy of it!
I want to reunite people with this immense sense of connection and oneness...through their passions. We really DO touch God through the intense pleasure we know when we are living passionately. They, our passionate desires, are our key to ALL we could ever want to know, have or experience. My heart ached with longing not only to sing my own song, but to see others release their own. To not die with their song unsung and their vision still in their bellies like a still born child. I felt a sense of urgency to make this my priority.
The words “Do what you love! Do what you love! Do...” kept rolling over and over as I felt the energy in that room of people that had done just that!
This wasn’t something just for me to “tell” others. It was a resonating admonition to LIVE it before others in order that they may be empowered and encouraged to do so themselves. It was a strong reminder to me to document my journey, taking others with me, allowing them to see HOW I do it.
Two Degrees off Truth
How much of your time is spent doing what you love doing?
How often do you find yourself groaning over what you feel you MUST do?
Or are you one of those people who has begun to make those changes and have created a niche marketing some version of your passion but it doesn’t quite “hit the mark” for you?
I have always felt I would, could and should write books and be a successful author. I also believed I could be famous as a singer. I am a firm believer that if you have a strong desire for something, then you have within you the means to release some version of that desire that fulfils you AND sustains you-financially as well. We are MEANT to be happy in our vocations.
Yes, I want to write. I am a chronic journaler. I don’t just WANT to write. I HAVE to in order to make sense of my world and balance all the day’s activities in an orderly way. And I feel I have so MUCH to say, but whenever I “try” to write a conventional non-fiction book, the gears just seem to seize up.
I think I’ve finally realised that the love I have for “making” books is where I need to place my efforts. I LOVE making books-out of the weirdest things! I love surprising people with a snippet from my life that falls out of an “Eclipse” mints tin, or reads through round pages stored in a CD case. I love making books out of boxes and boxes out of books and I love adding texture, sound, scent.
Now, when it comes to writing fiction...that’s a different story entirely. And I think it’s because it is a STORY. I am a storyteller, and I like sharing the stories from my own life immensely. I dubbed myself the Family Scribe- “The Maker and Keeper of Memory”. I want all my children and their children and their children to know me and about my adventures. Just teh same way I wish I knew such things about those in my history.
I want the chance to love and be loved by them.
I am an artistic and experiential storyteller who wants to share the tales of her life for the inspirational benefit of others. To try and write a conventional self help book is to be TWO DEGREES off my mark. It doesn’t flow.
It would never give me the joy, satisfaction or fulfilment that making my own book will. So I have asked myself the question for years and argued about the value of such books for any other than my family. But it is not the BOOKS that I need to market. IT IS THE PROCESS.
Understanding how you can find something inside the perfect version of doing what you love is the key. But you will never find it by stepping sideways into a lesser likeness of it.
Think unconventionally. Give your most fiery passion and deepest delight your time and energy. Think about WHY you love what you do and how can you use it to help others experience that feeling. Please live your BEST life!
Live Like You Mean It!
I think people start thinking somewhere along the line that “it’s too late” for some reason. Either there isn’t enough time left for them to reach some level of success with their passion, or they are too deeply invested in an alternate reality.
This just isn’t true. Yes, I know it can look like it but you really don’t have to bulldoze the whole mountain to begin to feel the fire of having reached its summit. You can make the tiniest turns toward your true core and begin to experience the magic of living in that place of fulfilment.
I guarantee that when a person is truly ready to sell out to bringing passion back to the centre of their lives, colourful ways to traverse the lack lustre landscape will appear. It’s never too soon to believe in an impossible dream and it’s never too late to go for it. You're never too young or too old.
I once heard someone say something like “if you’re dream is easily attainable you’re aiming too low”. You are the Creator of you own Experience. The spinner of your own story, the writer of your own script, the painter of your own masterpiece...be extravagant!
It’s time to “Live like you mean it!!”

Live Like You Mean IT!

just SO love how we are guided from the Inside out!!

The Passion Coach.

Next week, on my radio show, I have a guest called Katey Shaw. Katey did coaching sessions with me, after which she dubbed me the Passion Coach, which I REALLY like! :-)
She did this because she felt that I helped her through a refining process of defining what she wanted to a much greater place of clarity.

The reason I mentioned this is because last night when I attended the networking event, it was hosted by the "Surf Museum". Walking through this space of boards, press releases, photos and smiling faces had an instant and profound impact upon me impressing deeply upon me a clarity of purpose. It's not like it's anything new, but to have these moments of weighty significance when you are reminded what really matters to you are priceless.

THIS IS MY PASSION
And I know that I'll do it through selling out to my own.
My desire to sing and play my way around the globe will open the way to others to follow their dreams whatever they are.

Pass It On

As soon as I emerged into the main room from the museum two men began speaking to me and all I could talk about was living passionately and how they were , or could be, doing that. Something had shifted in that space/time.BIG TIME. Back in church days, we'd say something like "a new mantle" or a "fresh anointing" had fallen upon me. However, you want to say it, that is what happened.

I went home and immediately captured and posted a video on Facebook. This week's content "Live Like You Mean it!"
I had a message form someone who watched and was emotionally touched. They shared their dream and how they felt they'd been skirting around it and how that video spoke directly to them.

I FEEL THE POTENCY OF PASSION IN THIS WAVE-and I'm riding it!

DIY Designer Living-The Look of Love

The Look Of Love

Beauty, Love and Truth are all in the eye of the Beholder.
"Your task is not to seek for love,
but merely to seek and find
all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against it."
~ Rumi

class="MsoNormal">

The other day I spoke of how our focus will determine what we draw into our lives. I have spent the last few days revelling in the perfection of the days. Today was just "Another Perfect Day In Paradise". The more we can enjoy our "here and nows', the more exquisite things we draw to enjoy. that is what I call the "look of love"

An old Jewish proverb goes something like this:
"When you only see two choices...take the third!"

You know "Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]" 2Cor 13:7b-8a

The thing is LOVE ALWAYS SEES MORE OPTIONS. Love is never limited in its view. It is expansive. It FINDS new ways, creative ways to move forward. It doesn't fear or resist...it flows.
What you fear will come upon you, what you resist will persist, but what you allow to flow will pass constructively through your life, carrying you buoyantly along.
The ebbs and tides of life are part of the authentic rhythm of your true nature. Fight/flight are ego centred and fear based. They COMPETE for the right to live.
You are designed to CREATE, not compete. You are born to know abundance, not lack. Whatever the 'climate' of your life, you are able to improve it by aligning to who you REALLY are at the core level and FLOW.

Have a fantastic day!

Essential Elements for Effective Masterminding with CTT

Essential Elements for Effective Masterminding with Creative Thinking Technology

In a previous article (http://lisashahescape.blogspot.com/2010/02/th-art-of-controlled-chaos.html) I wrote that one of the ways creativity can be applied to businesses in this ever changing economic climate is through a regular masterminding session. Masterminding as a creative tool may well have existed long before Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, however, it has since become a term well recognised and used in business circles.

In fact, could it be that it has become so commonplace both as a term and an idea that it’s possibly in danger of becoming clichéd. When something becomes clichéd, even though it holds great value, much of its impact can be lost. Let’s consider, in light of Hill’s definition, what constitutes a productive masterminding connection.

“Two or more people who work in perfect harmony for a definite purpose...

...Borrow and use the education, the experience, influence, and perhaps the capital of other people in carrying out your own plan...

...You can accomplish in one year, more than you could accomplish in a lifetime, if you depended entirely upon your own efforts for success...

...When you form a true mastermind alliance with others, and work with them in a true spirit of harmony, you can draw freely upon the spiritual forces within you in carrying out your plans and desires...

...Also, this alliance can give you absolute protection against failure provided that your purpose is beneficial for all that you influence...”

Napoleon Hill

The first of these statements describes what it takes to create a mastermind alliance, and the other points listed could refer to the benefits able to be gained through that alliance.

“Two or more people who work in perfect harmony for a definite purpose...”

To create this allegiance takes more than one person with varying abilities between them whilst being committed to the same outcome. To be in harmony as compared to unison implies a different role whilst the definiteness of purpose speaks of specific agreed outcome from the joint efforts. Win:win.

It’s not often, or even likely, that a large group would be in harmony from the outset even if there is a shared beneficial goal. Each has their ideas and methods as well as their own particular talents, skills and egos. The gain for each member needs to be such that it motivates a strong commitment to the group as a whole and should include helping the others receive their gain.

The first agenda of any potentially effective mastermind alliance must be that of attaining “perfect harmony”. To develop this among members requires building trust and developing a “safe” environment.

When a mastermind is built upon specifically selected individuals this can be easier, but when a group is brought together via other means (e.g. a family, or a micro business) developing relationships and like-mindedness are paramount.

Having Fun and Feeling Good.

Social networking between businesses and within businesses has been on the rise for some years, the reason being it has been widely accepted that people who “play together” tend to get along better in general and feel better about working together. It’s also because it brings balance to the work/life ratio and relieves stress which leads to healthier people and better personal performance.

Something amazing happens when people laugh together. A bonding around the moment takes place. Humans are creatures who are shaped through information and strong emotion. Enjoyment of another’s company usually draws a desire to have the experience again. The more pleasant time together is the more trusted the environment becomes. To the extent people reveal themselves in various scenarios and meet with acceptance they will willingly share ideas and subjective opinions more openly.

When the result of playing or working together feels good people are free to be themselves and ultimately demonstrate more creative as the group culture allows for the putting forth of ideas without ridicule, judgment or criticism. Not only is this so but a genuine regard for each other’s well being rises out of the bond that feeling good together brings.

For an effective masterminding synergy these elements are absolutely essential and they rest solidly on the level of connectedness between the all parties no matter the number.

Creating a Safe Environment Swiftly

It could be considered a difficult task to bring synchronistic energy to a “motley crew” and it is certainly something that cannot be forced upon people. This kind of harmony must be offered willingly from within by each individual. The best way to have people align to a vision as told by many a success advocate is for it to be their idea. All that is being presented here is the notion that incentives can play a rather influential part.

Feeling good, having fun, playing and laughing are powerful incentives. Too long have these influential factors been outlawed as contrary to good working models and cast aside in favour of a penal ( reward versus penalty) system. Whilst working with pain as the motivator may require less creativity and seem effective it squashes initiative through the fear of what making a mistake could bring basically short circuiting potential innovation.

The other side of this system is pleasure and it will perhaps generate a better response. Pleasure can work where the safe environment is in place otherwise fear will yet hold many back. Using pleasure as the way to establish a non judgmental space is a superior path to fostering within people a desire to contribute to the well being of the group and a confidence to suggest ways in can be done.

Further along in this series another concept for motivation will be presented that surpasses both pleasure and pain.

To begin to set up the conditions for a fertile masterminding session make use of games, interactive activities and artistic tools such as drawing implements, drama techniques and music. Organise individual, partnered, team and group oriented activities. At this stage these games/activities need to help people feel comfortable and relaxed through being enjoyable. The key component is engaging people though focussing attention on the fun of the activity and interaction rather than on the people themselves, thus minimising self consciousness. When working with others the focus is on being attentive to the whole. This can be achieved in very simple ways through games that involve counting together, singing a well known song chorus or synchronised actions.

This is the magic of CTT.
